“Father Marek Bozek left Springfield to minister in St. Louis despite excommunication by the Catholic Church.
I found this local bit of news very interesting. And sad. Not being Catholic, it might be difficult to understand all the politics. Read the article.
“Marek Bozek had just taken his morning shower in his hotel room in Lima, Peru, when the phone rang. It was a reporter asking him to respond to the news that he had been excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church…”

“I didn’t do anything morally wrong,” Bialszak said. “It’s all over property and money.”

” Accepting Communion from Bozek would be a “mortal sin,” he wrote…- News-Leader.com | Local News

This entry was originally published at GentleWhisper.com - By Amy Maxwell

I woke up on a friend’s couch this morning and realized that she is not a coffee drinker. What to do? What to do? Her husband had given me a coffee sampler pack the night before… I just had to figure out how to go about brewing it.

No problem!

Place two scoops of coffee in a glass measuring cup

Pour in 1 cup of almost boiling water.

Let brew for 4 minutes then stir.

Fold Paper towel in half and shape into a filter over a large coffee mug.

Carefully pour coffee from measuring cup into paper towel filter

Produces a great cup of coffee… but the ever absorbent paper towel does drink half of it. Oh well, I guess I can share my coffee with such a good looking ‘Brawny’ guy.

So what does this say about me? That I enjoy the challenge of making a cup of coffee under any circumstances? Or that I have a serious java problem? Hillery and I agreed that the first cup was for the challenge… and the second cup may be cause to worry.

Saturday, December 24, 2005

Maybe she’s delerious
